I want to personally thank you for considering Zearing Christian Church. Our hope & prayer is for people to know the Lord Jesus Christ and the salvation found only in Him. He is the sure and steadfast anchor for our souls that we at ZCC hold fast to every day. For that reason we strive to be a Bible-believing church who faithfully proclaims the whole counsel of God, so that His people may grow in their faith and fellowship together with Him to be equipped to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the community around us in love.
The Psalmist could be describing our church in Psalm 118:23: “This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” ZCC as it is today was founded in 1892 and since then it has been a lighthouse & safe harbor to the Zearing Community and those in the surrounding area. ZCC is faithful in the bold preaching of the Word of God without apology. We also work to be a place where we can give back to God and serve Him with the spiritual gifts He's bestowed upon us. We offer several areas folks can plug into, including our food pantry, nursing home, and worship ministries. We're currently in need of a good pianist and are always on the lookout for those gifted to sing or play guitar. Many families travel from all over the surrounding counties and communities to be a part of our wonderful fellowship of believers. It is our prayer that you find your visit to be nothing less than a refreshing, friendly, and edifying time for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, theological teaching, expository Bible preaching, friendly people, and a place that you feel welcome and at home. Come and see us soon at Zearing Christian Church! For His Glory, Pastor Tom |
Charles Spurgeon said "I can define the Gospel in 4 words; Jesus Died For Me."
When God created the universe and everything in it, He made everything good and according to His purpose. There was no death or toil or struggle or fear. But then the first people, Adam and Eve, rebelled against God in the garden He had created for them (Genesis 3). That was the first sin and from that time on, Adam and Eve had to be separated from God and removed from the garden. Having been represented by Adam, every single person born since (including you and me) has by nature and by choice lived their lives in rebellion against God, living as though they determine what is right and good instead of according to what God has said is right and good (Romans 1:18-32), and so they too are separated from God and doomed to suffer the consequences of eternal judgment in death. That's the bad news. But God wasn't going to let the story end there. He sent His Son Jesus to be the new Adam. Fully God & Fully Man, Jesus was able to live the perfect life of obedience to the Father that we never could. He then suffered the death we deserve for our sin in our place. On the cross, He paid the debt of death sinners owe for their sin, and 3 days later He rose again from the grave to prove the completion of His work. Since then, as the Second Adam, Christ has been the new representative for all those who trust and believe in Him, restoring them to the Father and giving them peace with Him (Romans 5). Jesus said "Truly, Truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life." (John 6:47) The Apostle Paul wrote "...if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;" (Romans 10:9) That's the Gospel! That's the Good News! You don't have to live your life separated from your Creator and under His eternal Judgment for your sin! If you will only turn away from that sin and believe and trust the Lord Jesus in faith, you will be saved! If you don't know Him that way, Don't waste any more time! Trust Him Today! |
